Description
Clare peak is a simple grade 1 peak at the northern end of the Takitimu mountains. We'll make a weekend of it leaving lower Princhester at around 10am. Saturday. Staying at Upper Princhester biv or the basin above.Clare Peak summit on Sunday then head north back via Princhester saddle.
The trip covers a pleasing variety of bush and alpine terrain so it is a very enjoyable route.
This event is hosted by the Southland Section NZAC.
If you could sign up on our facebook page too that would be great as a group chat will be created to help with transport https://www.facebook.com/events/308836215063222.
For those without facebook, I'll keep you in the loop via email please make a comment when signing up here.
