Description

Hulk Hogan is a great bouldering area near to Elephant Rocks but tends to get less publicity.
Enjoy a bouldering day with tips from seasoned Hulk Hogan local, Andy Milne. Great chance to explore a lesser known area with some expert advice on hand.
Hulk Hogan is known for it's hard boulder problems but there area also some easy options for those wanting to keep things a little more mellow.

Getting There

We plan to carpool from the usual Logan Park meeting spot (on Union St, Dunedin in front of the Teachers College) at 8:30am on Saturday, 15th February. This will give us time to arrange carpooling, load gear and then grab a quick coffee along the way in Palmerston or Hampden before meeting up with Andy at the Hulk Hogan boulders at 11am.

The actual boulder site is on Island Cliff-Duntroon Road just down and around the corner from Elephant Rocks (see thecrag photo for details).

What to Expect

Easy access bouldering area.
Known for hard boulder problems but also easy options to try.
No real prior climbing experience needed to give it a go but you will need to be responsible for your own safety decision making and knowing your limits.
A relaxed social day or an opportunity to crush hard...you choose!
